What's this?

Fall behind on child support payments in Kansas and you could find your driving privileges severely restricted, according to an Associated Press story.

A bill laying out the law on driving and child support passed through both the Senate (36-4) and the House of Representatives (108-14), and is likely to be signed by Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius.

The bill requires those owing more than $500 in child support to have their licenses restricted until the debt is either paid off, or appropriate arrangements have been made. The state is also looking at restricting the hunting and fishing licenses of Kansas residents who fall behind on their child support payments.

You can read more about this story at State: Pay child support or be a restricted driver.
