What's this?

Breach of contract is the new black this spring, as Sprint Nextel sues IBM for $6.4 million dollars, following in the footsteps of such notable throwdowns as U.S. Bancorp v. Altria and Sprint Nextel’s earlier run-in with Penncro Associates Inc..

According to a story in the Kansas City Business Journal, Sprint Nextel is suing IBM for allegedly missing productivity levels “by a wide margin” last year.

At issue is 119,000 hours worth of contract information technology work that Sprint Nextel says it never received from IBM. IBM, of course, disputes that it owes Sprint Nextel the extra hours.
