I've worked at a couple agencies, and I have always been told that a payment will reset the SOL and in theory make an SOL account suitable again. I'm being told to not call my out of stat accounts in my unit because we can't sue them. I argued what I had been told during training @ debt purchasing agencies to get a small payment, reset the statute and then sue if they don't follow through.

So my question is that if an account say 1999 DOS/LPD (used as example because out of MN stat and off bureau) makes a $50 money order payment, and then skips town is it available for suit again?

If it is true, can someone provide documentation to back it up, because it would change the way my whole day functions and I need to be able to prove this.

Hello,

What do you do when you have an agency that does not return your calls or remit on a timely manner. Should I just pulled all the accounts from them ? or Give them a chance to respond to my inquiries? Initially we had a good rapport but it sour over time which I am assuming they have bigger or more important clients.

Thank you.

FBI agents arrested Robert E. Bridges at the JFK Airport in New York on charges stemming from alleged scams that may have bilked investors out of as much as $10 million. Bridges is now in custody in Connecticut on a 2 million dollar bail. U.S. Attorney Robert Schechter told U.S. Magistrate Judge William I. Garfinkel that Bridges "blew off" 22 grand jury subpoenas issued to his companies during the investigation. Bridges was arrested after a Federal Grand Jury indicted him on nine counts of wire fraud and seven counts of interstate theft based upon investments by people in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Bridges indictment details his 5 million dollar debt and judgment in favor of Cinema International Corp. entered in October of 2003. Bridges allegedly used investments from third parties to pay 1.9 millions dollars on that judgment during 2005. According to FBI sources new victims are still coming forward. If you or your company are a victim of Robert E. Bridges you should contact the Special Agent in charge of this investigation in the Bridgeport, Ct office of the FBI: Agent Matthew D. Elio at (203) 382-6614.
